Up North Trip

I’ve always wanted to travel the world, but have instead traveled most of the United States. So in mapping my route across the U S and A, I’ve used a strangely altered map online, which consequentially, has allowed me to live my dream:

So, I’ll be staying north for the most part, with a possible dip into a city of significant population, and utilizing a few different routes; all amounting to an estimated 2700-2900 miles of pedaling. Best of all, in no time I’ll be visiting corners of the earth that I’ve always wanted to discover… Far off locations like Tunisia, Turkey, Norway and Argentina, as well as an undiscovered gray [grey?] region, right before coming back home to comfy Buffalo, Brazil.

For now I’ll just let Clark Griswold go crazy on his own “quest for fun”!

The Weigh In

My neighbor loaned me this fancy schmancy luggage scale. Everything is weighed simply by lifting it on the hook. no digital! So, this preliminary weigh in is brought to by Migz Photography. www.migzphotography.com

Bicycle with handlebar bag and seat post bag = 45 lbs.

Contents, back rack = 11 lbs.

Back left side bag = 6 lbs.

Back right side bag = 8 lbs.

Front right and left side bags = 9 lbs each.

I have yet to account for the weight of a bottle of liquid soap or coffee…..Nor water- which I have three bottles and at a gallon jug, but obviously don’t have to ship.
